1. Who we are

Ascend Prep is published by Ponte Lab, 75 Avenue Thermale, 03200 Vichy, France. Publication director: Wuilmer Ponte. The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States.

2. What the service is

Ascend Prep provides original practice material for the SAT and ACT: full-length practice exams, topic drills, a question bank, lessons, an optional AI tutor, and progress tracking. The free plan includes one full-length practice exam per test with scoring and a study plan. Premium unlocks everything else.

SAT is a registered trademark of the College Board. ACT is a registered trademark of ACT, Inc. Neither is affiliated with Ascend Prep and neither endorses it. Our questions are written by us to match the format and difficulty of those tests; they are not official questions, and scores shown on this site are estimates, not official scores.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you are under 18, get a parent or guardian's permission first.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• One account per person. Accounts may not be shared, sold, or transferred.
• Give a real email address: it is how we confirm your account and how you reset your password.

4. Premium subscription

• Premium is billed annually in US dollars at the price shown on the pricing page at the time you buy. Payment is processed by Stripe.
• It renews automatically each year at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. We will email you before any price increase takes effect.
• Cancel at any time from Account, then Manage billing. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
• All purchases are final. Our refund policy explains the few exceptions and the EU and UK right-of-withdrawal waiver you accept at checkout.
• Prices exclude any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live; it is shown at checkout when charged.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Copy, scrape, republish, or sell our questions, explanations, or lessons.
• Use automated tools to access the site, or try to bypass access controls or rate limits.
• Reverse engineer the service or interfere with its operation or other users.
• Use the AI tutor to generate content unrelated to test preparation, or to attempt to extract our material in bulk.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, without refund.

6. Our content

Everything on the site, including questions, explanations, lessons, figures, software, and design, belongs to Ponte Lab or its licensors and is protected by copyright. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own test preparation while you have an account. Nothing else is granted.

7. AI tutor

The AI tutor generates explanations with a language model. It can be wrong. Treat its answers as a study aid, check them against the official explanation shown with each question, and do not rely on them as the final word. Tutor use is rate-limited to keep the service affordable.

8. No score guarantee

Practice improves most students' scores, but we make no promise about your result on a real SAT or ACT. Estimated scores on this site are modelled from published scoring curves and our own question counts and are not predictions.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the site available at all times but do not guarantee it. We may add, change, or remove features and content, and may change these terms. For a material change we will email account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new terms.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Ponte Lab's total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost opportunities or admissions outcomes. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing removes the statutory protections you have as a consumer in the place you live.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country or state where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts. Disputes we cannot resolve by email may be brought before the competent courts of Vichy, France, subject to those consumer rights. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
